Four more players arrived at the Inspire Sports Academy Friday to join Gilas Pilipinas’ training bubble for next month’s final window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.

PBA players RR Pogoy, Troy Rosario and Raul Soyud and amateur Juan Gomez de Liano had their RT-PCR tests and began undergoing the mandatory quarantine before being allowed to join the ongoing training sessions inside the Calamba, Laguna facility.

The TNT duo of Pogoy and Rosario and NLEX’s Soyud are the latest pros to take part in the bubble, bringing the numbers of PBA cagers to six.

NLEX’s Kiefer Ravena was the first to enter Inspire followed by Terrafirma’s CJ Perez and Phoenix Super LPG’s Justin Chua.

Majority of those who are already training are members of Gilas Cadets and amateurs, namely Isaac Go, Calvin Oftana and Will Navarro while naturalization candidate Ange Kouame is also part of the bubble.

Gilas is also going to be reinforced by Kai Sotto, the 7-foot-3 cager who is currently in the United States with the G-League Ignite team.

Sotto made the decision the other day to play for the national cagers in the upcoming window.

The Philippines is scheduled to play two games against South Korea and one opposite Indonesia in the last window of the continental qualifiers at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

Gilas needs just one win to clinch a spot in the FIBA Asia Cup set mid-August in Indonesia.
