New Aklan provincial police director takes over

ILOILO CITY – Police Col. Ramir Perlito Perlas is the new Aklan provincial police commander.

Perlas took over the helm of the Aklan Police Provincial Office from Police Col. Esmeraldo Osia who relinquished his post last Wednesday.

“I will lead the Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of Aklan in the fight against illegal drugs, insurgency, and all forms of criminality,” Perlas said.

Police Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda, Police Regional Office (PRO 6) director, presided over the turnover ceremony and urged Perlas to continue the programs of Osia.

“Work progressively to achieve our common goal for a safer and orderly Aklan,” Miranda told Perlas.

In his assumption speech, Perlas said he will not only replicate the accomplishments of the previous leadership but also will go even further and do his best in implementing the standards set by the PRO-6 and PNP hierarchy.

Perlas’ latest assignment is also a homecoming as he was born in Numancia, Aklan.

Osia has been assigned to the PRO-6 Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit.
