Game is not over yet for ace comedian Vice Ganda on the issue of vaccines for COVID-19.
On January 19, Vice Ganda raised again the concern of the right to choose the vaccine.
"Okay ba sa inyo ang Sinovac? Baklang twoaaaah," said Vice Ganda on the noontime program "It's Showtime" on the Kapamilya Channel.
Vice Ganda's fresh take on the issue was in response to the comment of Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque Jr. At the press briefing, Roque said: "Di ko sinabing hindi puwede magsalita kahit sino. Pero pagdating sa bakuna, kinakailangan na ang dapat pakinggan ay ang eksperto sa bakuna."
Roque was referring to an earlier remark of Vice Ganda who compared the right to choose the vaccine to the choice of laundry soap.
"Sa sabong panlaba nga choosy tayo e sa bakuna pa kaya. Ano to basta may maisaksak lang?! Vaklang twoooaahhh!!!" said Vice Ganda on Twitter Jan. 12.
Vice Ganda initially joined the vaccine debate last Jan. 11 when Roque mentioned that the public should not be picky when it comes to vaccine.
Some Filipinos have expressed concern over the safety and effectiveness of China's Sinovac.
In an article published on CNBC Jan. 13, China’s Sinovac Biotech has defended safety and efficacy of its experimental Covid-19 vaccine.
Researchers in Brazil released late-stage clinical data showing efficacy that was much lower than initially announced, at just 50.4 percent effectiveness in preventing symptomatic infections.
