Vice Ganda shares scare following 'AlDub' success

Vice Ganda revealed in a recent episode of "It's Showtime" how he was once so scared of the phenomenal success of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards' "AlDub" team up.

He noted how the duo's quick rise as documented in rival show "Eat Bulaga's" "Kalyeserye" segment eclipsed their show, relating their ratings considerably dipped at the time.

He worried that "It's Showtime" would ultimately be cancelled.

Vice shared: “Hindi ko talaga keri ‘yon. Hindi ko alam kung pano ko yun idi-deal with."

Of course, his worries prove unfounded as "It's Showtime" surivived not only the AlDub phenom but also the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
