The Muntinlupa City government will provide financial assistance to families whose houses were damaged by a fire in Alabang Sunday (January 17).
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the Muntinlupa City Council will pass a resolution to give financial assistance to 294 families (1,119 individuals) affected by the fire in Barrio Bisaya.
The city government will give P10,000 to affected house owners, P5,000 to house sharers and renters, and P3,000 to owners of partially damaged houses.
The affected families are temporarily sheltered at Pedro E. Diaz High School in U.P. Side Subdivision, Alabang.
Muntinlupa’s Social Services Department has provided hot meals to evacuees through the city’s Disaster Response Mobile Kitchen. The City Health Office is strictly monitoring the evacuation area to ensure that minimum health protocols and measures are observed.
