An investigation is underway in Tianjin, China after three samples of ice cream reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

Anti-epidemic authorities are currently tracing people who may have been in contact with the batches.

According to a report by Sky News, initial epidemiological investigations conducted show the company produced the batch of ice cream using raw materials, including milk powder imported from New Zealand and whey powder imported from Ukraine.

The ice cream was produced by the Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Company, where over 1,600 employees have been quarantined and are undergoing tests.

All the products produced by the company have been sealed and contained after the tests found the virus in the ice cream on Friday (Jan. 15).
