Green Day cancels PH tour

The much-awaited Manila concert of American rock band Green Day scheduled this March will not push through.

Organizer MMI live announced the cancellation on Friday. 

Green Day was originally due to perform here following stops in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.

"While it was not possible to reschedule the tour at this time, the band hopes to see their fans in Asia in the near future," MMI Live wrote.

The Manila concert was originally scheduled March last year.

The band cancelled the gig after the pandemic hit.

It would have been Green Day's first show in the Philippines.
