Internet sensation Patrick Starrr paid homage to his Pinoy roots recently doing a Tagalog Makeup Tutorial, even as he also incorporated one of the country's staple desserts, ube or purple yam, in the process.
Patrick explained why in the seven years he has been vlogging, he never had one done in Filipino.

"Kaya ako hindi nagta-Tagalog kasi tatay ko nagsasalita ng Bicol (Bicolano) at nanay ko, Ilonggo. Ito ang reason na hindi ako nagsasalita ng Tagalog kasi madaming language, at English ang itinuturo sa akin sa school," he shared.
Well, fans know how Patrick has always been proud of his roots.
In fact, when he launched his beauty brand, which is available in the United States, Canada, and Southeast Asia, he named two colors from his eye shadow palette, Manila Sands and Mango.
And from time to time, Patrick also mentions the names of local personalities including Alex Gonzaga, Vice Ganda, Ivana Alawi, Dr. Vicki Belo.
He also uses local gay lingo like "charot."
Born Patrick Simondac, the Filipino international YouTuber now has 4.41 million subscribers from all over the globe.
