Kris Aquino, Herbert Bautista discuss love

Kris Aquino recently collaborated with former beau, actor-politician Herbert Bautista on a "He said, She said..." video.

"7 years after... Happy Sunday... Happy #friendzone," she wrote as caption.

In there, they shared their two cents on love.

"I didn't believe my mom before but now I do. She always said it -- for it to be love, it has to bring out the best in you. Love should make you want to be a better person and you should want that person to shine," said Kris.

Herbert on his part, described love as a "sacrifice," which Kris immediately refuted, noting that love shouldn't feel like that and it should be something that just flows naturally.

As to second chances, Kris said she firmly disapproves of it.

According to her, there's a reason why it didn't work the first time around.

But Herbert interjected, "Hindi rin..."

This prompted Kris to explain, "You haven't been married, I've been married... So sabihin ko lang, ilang times kong tinary. You know when it's broken. And I've said this also: na once it's broken, the people trying to pick up those broken pieces end up na pareho silang sugatan. So pagbasag na talaga, let it go."

Kris went on to admit her marriage wasn't made out of love.

Herbert asked, "Why marry if it is not love?"

Kris replied, "Because I wanted to be married lang. Bakit ba? Anong masama du'n? Mali. E 'di ngayon natuto na!"

According to her, if there's something that her past relationship taught her, it is for to "not get into a relationship again."

"Ako inaamin ko, the career path I chose is very selfish. I understand now kung bakit they all ended up hating me."
