#Unwind: Vic Manuel goes on vacation amid trade demand

Vic Manuel took time out from dealing with his trade demands by appreciating the beauty of the outdoors.

Manuel posted an Instagram photo Sunday, showing him enjoying the scenery inside a resort in Nagcarlan, Laguna.

“Unwind” was what Manuel wrote in his caption, perhaps a reference to the break he needed following an interesting last few days that began when he made his intentions of being traded from Alaska.

The eight-year forward felt dismayed over the Aces offer of a one-year contract extension, though Alaska coach Jeffrey Cariaso met with Manuel to discuss his request.

Cariaso said that re-signing Manuel was Alaska’s top priority while clarifying that the team had offered a two-year extension.

But his agent Danny Espiritu said that Manuel is still hoping for a change of scenery, even mentioning Phoenix Super LPG, NLEX and San Miguel Beer as among the teams he’s interested in joining.

Manuel’s post got more than 1,000 likes and several comments from fans who expressed hope that “The Muscleman” would join their team.
