A non-government international organization based in Switzerland has commended three more regional offices of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for rendering high quality service to taxpayers.

BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay made the disclosure as he expressed his appreciation to the International Standardization Organization (ISO) for recognizing the hard work of many revenuers for 2020 amid the pandemic.

ISO been regularly conducting surveillance audit on the operations of selected and sensitive government offices worldwide and found the daily activities of Revenue Region (RR) 8 based in Pampanga, RR 7-East NCR and RR 8 Makati City and the districts under them of standard quality.

The survey covered so-called quality management system including the application to register a business, print receipts and invoices, permit to computerized audit system and registration of books of accounts.

The BIR chief expects more regional offices to receive ISO certification this year including Quezon City revenue region which retained its 2020 certification.

ISO certification does not only review the quality of services but other wide range of products sold in the market worldwide.

It is composed representatives from more than 150 countries with skill on certain area ensuring the quality, safety and efficiency of services and products.
