Not even the COVID-19 pandemic prevented Calvin Abueva from participating in the annual procession of the Black Nazarene.
The Phoenix Super LPG star took to the streets of Manila for the “Traslacion” which pushed through despite different circumstances of the because of the ongoing pandemic.
A known devotee, Abueva wore a Black Nazarene-inspired shirt as he visited his alma mater San Sebastian College where a mass was scheduled to be held.
Fans also spotted Abueva and even posted photos which the Best Player of the Conference shared as Instagram stories.
Abueva is known for attending the annual procession, even during the low-point of his career when he was banned for 16 months due to several misconducts.
But this year’s procession appears to be more meaningful for Abueva despite the coronavirus situation his reinstatement resulted in an impressive PBA bubble showing that almost gave Phoenix its first-ever Finals appearance.
