GOT7’s Yugyeom leaving JYP Entertainment for AOMG label: report

K-pop boy band GOT7 member Yugyeom will be leaving his agency, JYP Entertainment, after his contract expires this month.

Korean media outlet SpoTV News published an exclusive report on Jan. 6 and stated that Yugyeom is planning to sign up with hip-hop label AOMG founded by artist Jay Park.

It added that Yugyeom has been in contact with several agencies since last year and made up his mind to join AOMG.

The exclusive contracts of GOT7 members with JYP Entertainment will expire this month. Last December, it was reported that Jinyoung had a meeting with agency BH Entertainment.

GOT7 debuted in 2014 and according to the report, JYP Entertainment is holding individual meetings with the members regarding their exclusive contracts.

The idol group is composed of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom. Last November, GOT7 released the album “Breath of Love: Last Piece.”

They won Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10 at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards and Performance of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards.
