Unidentified dead body found inside lodging house


ILIGAN CITY -- The Valencia City Police here led by Lt. Col. Cipriano V. Bazar, Jr. found the body of a man inside a lodging house on Monday.

Jopher C. Pabate, a cashier at Versatile lodging house in Valencia City Bukidnon, informed authorities that an unidentified person was found bloody and lifeless inside one of the establishment's rooms in Purok 13, Poblacion.

The victim reportedly checked in at around 7:15 p.m. on January 3 and told the cashier that two other persons will be checking in with him.The two unidentified companions arrived at the lodging house through the exit and entered Room 13.

The next day,when the victim failed to check out, authorities forcibly opened the door and discovered him lying on the bed, bloody and naked and covered with a blanket.

A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team from Bukidnon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the different parts of the body. He is around 30 years old, 5’4” in height, medium built, and had a dove and three stars tattoos on the left chest and left arm.

Also recovered at the crime scene were a yellow t-shirt, silver necklace, and gold earrings. The victim was declared dead by Dr. Michael Escalante of the City Health Office, Valencia City, and subsequently brought to Villanueva Funeral Homes.

Provincial Police Office Provincial director Col. Roel L. Lami-ing ordered the Valencia CPS to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and to hunt down the suspects.
