Unattended car rolls, runs over and kills woman

PANGASINAN -- A woman died after an unattended vehicle ran over her in Aguilar town here.

The unattended vehicle which was parked in an elevated parking lot suddenly rolled backward, hitting Aida Reyes, 56, who was standing at the rear of the vehicle at around 7:45 p.m. Monday in Brgy. Manlocboc, Aguilar, Pangasinan , police said.

MSg Joseph M. Laoang of Aguilar Police said the vehicle, with plate number IAC-8283, hit Reyes who sustained head injuries. She was rushed to Nazarene General Hospital in Lingayen, Pangasinan but was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Maaring hindi kumagat masyado ang hand brake kaya umatras bigla ang sasakyan na naipark ng miyembro ng kanilang pamilya,” police told the Manila Bulletin.
