Flight attendant's family eyes raps against City Garden Grand Hotel – family spox

City Garden Grand Hotel may face charges soon from the Dacera Family following the death of their daughter flight attendant Christine Angelica “Aica” Dacera at their establishment.

This as family spokesman lawyer Roger Reyes revealed that Dacera Family is contemplating on suing the hotel for allowing Aica and her friends to party at their establishment, a direct violation of health protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Mrs. Dacera is contemplating on filing a case against the hotel. The hotel allowed 9 to 10 individuals at Room 2209 and seven persons in another room –2207. We believe that is against the regulations of the IATF for the operations of hotels,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

City Garden Grand Hotel in Barangay Poblacion, Makati is the hotel booked by Aica and 10 other friends who are reportedly members of the LGBT community. The room given to them was 2209.

They were apparently there to celebrate the New Year.

They reportedly partied with the seven men occupying room 2207. The seven men remain unidentified.

Based on the initial investigation of the police, one of her friends found her lifeless in the bathtub of their room around 12:30 a.m., January 1, 2021.

Police said Peter Paul Ponongcos, security chief of the said hotel, conducted Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation or CPR to Dacera but failed.

He then reportedly examined the body of Dacera with the absence of pulse and no sign of life.

“The management of said hotel requested a rescue team from Barangay Poblacion but to no avail, hence, they decided to bring Ms. Dacera on board their private vehicle but the latter declared dead upon arrival to the hospital,” the police report read.

Dacera Family said bruises and abrasions were found on the body of Aica, evidently showing she was forcefully attacked.
