"Wala ho kaming tinatago!"
This was the pronouncement of OPM singer Claire dela Fuente after her son Gregorio Angelo de Guzman was tagged as among those who allegedly raped and killed Christine Dacera on New Year's Day at a hotel in Makati City.
Claire said that it was her son who immediately informed her through telephone about the incident.
"Sabi niya na may situation dito, parang patay na ata 'yung girl dito," she said.
"Bakla 'yung anak ko eh. Ang hirap i-admit pero alam ko 'yun, matagal na, bata pa siya. Nagpapaka-disente siya," she related.
Claire wished things to be fair, adding that they were also seeking justice for the death of Christine.
Gregorio, on his part, also denied the allegations. He said that he and his friends were with Christine until the end.
“Andu'n po kami, hindi namin iniwan si Tin until the end. Hindi namin iniwan si Tin kaya ang sakit ng mga sinasabi nila. Hindi nila alam ang nangyari. Tumingin sila sa CCTV. Nandu'n kami sa police station, sa ospital, sa hotel,” he said.
Gregorio said he performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to Christine when they found her in the bathroom.
“Absurd po. Paano po naging rape? Bakla po ako. Never po ako nakipagtalik sa babae, ever in my life. Hindi ako ma tu-turn on ng babae,” said Gregorio on the allegations.
