The Antipolo City government has decided to waive the annual franchise renewal fee for tricycle drivers who own their units and operators for the year 2021 as part of the local government’s assistance to members of the tricycle sector.
Mayor Andrea Bautista Ynares, in her official Facebook page and the city government’s, said the fee for the renewal of franchise of tricycles is free for this year.
With the free franchise renewal fee, those seeking the renewal of the tricycle’s franchise should bring to the city’s Public Transport Regulatory Board (PTRB) office at the Old DENR Building at Hinulugang Taktak compound the following documents: Cedula (community tax certificate), official Receipt/Certificate of Registration of the motorcycle unit, driver’s license, barangay clearance, copy of the franchise, and TODA (Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association) certification.
Inquiries on franchise renewal for tricycles should be directed to the PTRB office.
The city government had earlier exempted micro to small businesses with earnings of not more than P200,000 in 2020 from paying the current business tax and other regulatory fees to ease the burden that the small enterprises are facing due to the pandemic.Several tricycle drivers and TODA officials praised the city government for waiving the franchise fee.
