Since Staff Sgt. Karen Borromeo is assigned in Metro Manila, Sinas said he had already tasked the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) to implement the fastest summary dismissal proceedings against her.
“We have a very strong case against her and the instruction of our SILG (Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Eduardo An) is to implement the same procedure of having her dismissed in 30 days,” said Sinas.
Borromeo was collared by local policemen who responded to the report of local residents about gunshots in the neighborhood.
The female cop tested negative for illegal drugs and liquor but yielded positive for paraffin.
The PNP leadership has repeatedly warned its personnel not to engage in indiscriminate firing during the New Year revelry or face the consequences if they are caught.
