Recent Pulse Asia survey results showed Moreno ranking third in the list of 2022 presidentiables.

In an interview over CNN, Mayor Isko said while he is grateful to be included in the list, he would rather remain focused on addressing the pandemic in the city.

"I'm grateful.  Thank you so much sa mga sumagot na yun. Thank you very much dahil sinama nyo ko (thank you so much to those who chose me. Thank you very much for including me), it's an honor, but let us just go back to reality. Reality is there's pandemic and we, those names who are included in that survey, should continue to focus on the pandemic," Mayor Isko said.

"I think what's the most important thing is what we're going to do today, what are our plans today, and what are we going to do in the next first quarter in the incoming vaccine, I think yun muna siguro ang mahalaga (I think that's more important), more than political growth. I would rather focus on Manila," he added.

14 percent of Filipinos wanted the Manila mayor to run for president based on the latest Pulse Asia Ulat ng Bayan Survey.

"If we can offer a lot of things to ease the burden, effects of this pandemic the lives of every family in the city of Manila, I will do so. Doon muna talagang naka-focus ako (I am focusing on that first)," Mayor Isko reiterated.
