CALASIAO, Pangasinan – He alleged to have been stabbed and frequently mauled by his wife whenever she got angry with him.

And the abuse got too much for Nestor Agas, 56, of Barangay Ambonao, on December 29 that he filed a complaint with the police here against his wife Cecilia after their latest misunderstanding.
Nestor alleged that Cecilia stabbed him in the butt on December 29 in a fit of jealousy.
“Hindi kita titigilan hanggang hindi ka namamatay (I won’t stop until I kill you),” Nestor quoted his wife in filing the complaint with the police.
Nestor said Cecilia was always armed with a knife and a bolo.
Cecilia has refuted Nestor’s allegations, claiming that she did not have the strength to hurt her husband.
“Babae ako, lalaki sya, hindi ko siya kayang saktan (I am a woman, he’s a man. I cannot hurt him),” she said.
But in a change of heart on New Year’s eve, Nestor decided to heed the police’s advice for him and his wife to settle their differences.
Calasiao Police Chief Lt. Col. Ferdinand de Asis told The Manila Bulletin that Nestor told them on Thursday night that he was no longer interested in pursuing the complaint against his wife.
“Sa kabila ng pagkakasaksak sa akin ng aking asawa ay hindi na ako magsasampa ng reklamo dahil ayaw kong makulong ang aking asawa at dahil na rin para magkaayos kami sa kagustuhan ng aking mga anak,” De Asis quoted Nestor as telling them in explaining why he was withdrawing his complaint.
(Even after I was stabbed by my wife, I will no longer file a complaint because I do not want her to go to jail. I’m also heeding the desire of our children, who want us to patch things up)
Cecilia, on the other hand, vowed to welcome Nestor back, promising a peaceful New Year for both of them.
