CEU to hold virtual Loyalty Awards Day

Centro Escolar University (CEU) has always held in great esteem the values of fidelity and commitment to service. That is why every year, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Dr. Concepcion Aguila, CEU celebrates Loyalty Awards Day. The annual occasion is when CEU expresses appreciation for the years of service rendered by CEU’s personnel and alumni, particularly those that span generations.

Keeping its tradition alive despite the pandemic, CEU will hold its annual Loyalty Awards Day online via streaming. On Friday, Sept. 11, the University will recognize members of the teaching and non-teaching staff who have reached a service milestone, some celebrating having been with CEU for 40 years. They will also be recognizing alumni who have placed value in the education CEU offers to the youth.

The virtual program will follow the usual flow of the annual celebration and will be presented on all of CEU’s official social media pages. 

There will be a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Dante Daylusan, who is presently the parish priest of St. Andrew the Apostle in the Diocese of Viterbo, known as the Papal City, in Italy. Rev. Fr. Daylusan is a CEU alumnus, holding a Bachelor of Science in education.

Another CEU alumnus who graduated in the same course, Dr. Allan Del Rosario, will be the event’s guest speaker. A virtual exhibit featuring this year’s awardees will also be available. The university registrar, headed by Dr. Rhoda Aguilar, and the CEU Alumni Foundation Inc., with its president Dr. Paz Lucido, will host the event.
