Officials of the Joint Administrative Order Group are studying if University of Santo Tomas violated JAO guidelines when it reportedly conducted a training bubble in Sorsogon during quarantine.

Games and Amusements Board chairman Baham Mitra, who is part of the tripartite group composed of GAB, Philippines Sports Commission and Department of Health, said they will be submitting a report to the Department of Justice on Monday.

“Pwede silang ma-sanction ng DOJ if they are found guilty,” said Mitra after the group’s meeting on Friday.

In attendance to the meeting were PSC chairman Butch Ramirez, CHED chairman Popoy de Vera, DOH Representative Rodley Carza and Mitra.

GAB, PSC and DOH are tasked to realign professional and amateur sports practices and tournaments during the pandemic.

UST has been at the center of controversy after its men’s basketball team allegedly violated government health protocols by conducting a training camp.
