Gladys Guevarra scammed by producer fiancé

Gladys Guevarra wasn’t able to contain her emotions as she narrated how her fiancé messed up with her food business, allegedly running away with thousands of money.

In a Facebook Live session Wednesday, the comedian revealed she and partner Leon Sumagui got into an argument and decided to end their relationship. 

Unfortunately, she claimed Leon left her taking along most of the money she has earned through her food business venture.

Worse, he is no longer responding to her calls and messages.

Gladys is just one of many celebrities who took to online selling to earn a living amid the ongoing pandemic. 

As she is fond of cooking, she decided to sell Pinoy delicacies such as palitaw, kalamay, and puto among others.

“Ito po ay may kinalaman sa personal kong buhay, okay. Ito po ay may kinalaman sa ipinakilala ko sa inyong jowa ko. Ipinakilala ko sa inyong partner ko, which is si Dada, si Tiger, okay. Meron po kaming hindi pagkakaunawaan from last night, so I’ve decided na kanselen lahat ng orders,” she began on her Facebook Live session.

Gladys revealed since she didn’t have online access to her bank accounts, Leon offered to monitor online payments using his bank accounts instead.

“Yung sinasabi kong hindi inaasahang kadahilanan ay yun aking pong partner. And as you guys noticed, nung mga una pong nag-o-order kayo, ang ibinibigay ko pong bank details ay BDO account ko, okay,” she said. “Ang salita po ng partner ko, ang ilalagay na lang siya sa system, at sa page is yung BDO account niya, BPI account niya, at GCash niya, sa kadahilanang wala akong BDO online."

"So, hindi ko mamu-monitor lahat ng perang papasok or lahat ng ibabayad sa orders. Pumayag ako out of trust, out of good faith, dahil nga partner ko siya at karelasyon ko siya.”

Leon allegedly took over P9,000 of her earnings.

To make matters worse, Gladys revealed that Leon messed up their office and deleted files of their orders.

“Di ba, ang sakit sa loob na karelasyon mo pa?” she stressed.“Ang sakit. Tan**na, kung sino pa...pinagkakatiwalaan mo. Grabe talaga ang sakit.”

Addressing Leon, she said, “Hindi ako naiiyak, Leon, kasi nawala ka. Wala kang kuwentang tao, Leon. Bawat kibot sa 'yo, pera. Kung hindi ito nagma-matter sa 'yo, ang tingin sa 'yo, negosyo lang? Passion sa akin ‘to, kasi pagluluto ‘to.”

“Grabe 'tong ginawa mo sa akin, Leon, grabe.”

Gladys then promised to refund her customers.

Stressing that her reputation in regards to money has always been good, she said, “I’m sorry. Stressed na stressed na ako kasi gusto kong ibalik itong pera ninyo.  Kailangan nyo po akong tulungan. Titigil ko muna mga orders. Babalik ko po pera ninyo.”

Gladys announced her engagement with Leon, a producer, November last year.
