It only took a throwback video of Thai actor Mario Maurer for comedianne-singer Kakai Bautista to smile again during these trying times.
On Instagram, Kakai recalled the sweet memories she shared with the 31-year-old heartthrob, whom she met during the shoot of the 2012 film "Suddenly It's Magic" starring Mario and Erich Gonzales.
"ANEZ?!!! Huy. Kelan tayo move-on guys? EME! Gusto ko sanang kiligin, pero mas GUSTO ko ng Trabaho. Such a beautiful memory," she wrote along with the clip that showed the episode of "Gandang Gabi Vice" where "Suddenly It's Magic" cast seated as guests.
There, Mario praised Kakai for her talent in singing.
Anyway, the Dental Diva shared how the past week wasn't really that good for her after losing too many bookings because of "certain unavoidable reasons" but thanks to the video. It made her smile.
"Lord Thank you… You know how to ease my pain by simply reminding me that THERE are still So much good in this world," she related.
Kakai remembered how Mario was "really kind and authentic" and was "good" to her until the end.

"I've seen so much of him that other people have never seen. (Siguro) I am forever grateful," she said.
Note that a few years back when Kakai shared that she hasn't communicated with Mario since 2015 following the different controversies they got embroiled.
Recall that Kakai even revealed how she almost quit showbiz because of the bashing she received over her closeness to Mario; others even accused her of using the latter and riding along to his fame.
Kakai continued to her post, seemingly talking to Mario: "Ang sarap ng feeling na kapag naalala kita, puro masaya lang nagpaflash sa utak ko. Salamat sa pagdaan sa buhay ko."
In the same post, Kakai promised that she'll start another week with a "hopeful mindset."
"Tapos na akong umiyak sa kakaisip sa bayarin. And I prayed really hard. Alam mo na po yan, Lord," she wrote. "Kahit anong mangyare, marami pading kabutihan sa mundo."
A few weeks ago when Kakai revealed her COVID-19 story after she got tested positive, but has now recovered.
