Alexandre “AK” Laverez proved once again that he is the King of Iron Fist in the country.

LausAutoGroup Playbook Esports ace AK captured his fourth title in the Tekken 7 conference of The Nationals Season 2 after taking down Bren Epro’s Maru “Maru” Sy, 3-1, in the grand finals on Saturday night.

AK, a 2019 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist, flaunted his mastery on Kazumi and clobbered Maru’s Ganryu twice to move a game win away from another crown.

Maru did not roll down easily with his Ganryu, winning Game 3 to avoid a clean sweep.

But AK unleashed his main character Shaheen on his favorite stage Howard Estate, pulverizing Maru’s Ganryu with wall combos to seal the deal in Game 4.

AK overcame his mentor in Cignal’s Djamille “NatureLover” San Juan in the first round then stormed past Happy Feet Emperors’ bets Michael “Hapon” Magbunua and Jeffrey “Coffee_Prinz!” Gonzales for another finals appearance.

The 19-year-old AK bagged the champion’s prize of P150,000 while Maru took home P85,000.

Coffee_Prinz! wound up third for P40,000 and Cignal Ultra Warriors’ Raphael “Vermilion” Cueva finished fourth for P25,000.

AK’s LPE teammate Andreij “Doujin” Albar, bronze winner in the SEA Games and group stage leader in The Nationals, landed on the fifth spot.
