Volleyball: PetroGazz conducts online seminar

The staff of Premier Volleyball League team PetroGazz Angels is holding a two-day online seminar to keep the coaches, players and enthusiasts updated with the current trends in physical and mental training.

The session will start this Saturday and will focus on strength and conditioning, injury identification and first aid, and tips on how to keep the team motivated in the midst of pandemic.

Speaking in the session will be strength and conditioning coaches Chappy Callanta and Paolo Rivero, and physical therapist Rod Ann Oriel.

The second session on Oct. 3 will take participants inside the PetroGazz Angels’ program that includes the overview of the team composition, the current models of home workouts, and some volleyball specific exercises to help improve the team—all important before they take the FIVB Levels 1-3 Coaching Course.

Coach Arnold Laniog, assistant coach Rald Ricafort, team consultant Jerry Yee and trainer Jay Chua are among the members of the panel.

Registration is pegged at P1,000 for two sessions, with all the proceeds benefitting The Purposeful Unconditional Service to Others (P.U.SO. Foundation), a non-profit organization helping people living in underserved areas through creative outreach and strategic fundraising.
