Singer-actor John Gabriel has released his debut single entitled "O Pilipina" now available on various digital platforms.
John, who just turned 20 last Sept. 8, has been into hip-hop since he was young. He really took pains in learning hip-hop and now he's good at it.
In high school, John became a vocalist of his school band known as "The Jaywalkers" at the Immaculate Heart of Mary College. The band lasted for three years and during that time, Gabriel already dreamed of becoming a professional singer.

Among the artists he idolizes are Justine Bieber and Daniel Padilla. He describes himself as a loving, caring and sweet person.
“Ever since I saw them perform and listened to their music, I wanted to be like them. They inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a singer,” he said. Aside from singing, John also plays the guitar, bass and drums.
John was discovered by Daddie Wowie Roxas, the same person who discovered actor-turned-politician Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

“I am happy that Daddie Wowie has given me a break in show business. I will do my best to prove to him that I am worthy of the opportunity he has given me. I want to be known in showbiz as a great singer and actor as well. But I still want to do hip-hop. I know I have to strive harder before I can achieve my goal but I believe that time and patience is the key to success,” said John.
Six years ago, John sent his photo to Daddie Wowie hoping that he would help him join showbiz. But the talent manager ignored the idea. "Hindi pa talaga time niya noon. Now puwede na siya mag-focus sa showbiz."
“I am so grateful to him that’s why I am giving my best in everything that he asks me to do no matter how hard the task is. It’s really my dream to join showbiz and I won’t stop until I reach my goals,” John said.
John also appears in the movie "My First and Forever" under Heaven’s Best Entertainment featuring Rita Daniella and Ken Chan. “Things happened so fast and I hope more breaks will come my way. I believe in destiny. If it’s meant to be, it will happen.”
