Gerald Anderson posts cryptic message following news of Julia Barretto's alleged pregnancy

Hours after actress Julia Barretto is rumored to be pregnant with his child went viral, Kapamilya star Gerald Anderson posted a cryptic message on Instagram.

He wrote: "Congratulations to me."

Fans believe Anderson was simply poking fun at the news as shared by former talk show host and broadcaster Jay Sonza on his Facebook account onÂ Sept. 21.

Earlier, Anderson posted on IG: "Sa panahon ngayon na ang bilis kumalat ng 'FAKE NEWS'... Akala ko magiging 'FAKE NEWS' din ang 'A Soldier's Heart."

On Facebook Monday, Sonza congratulated Barretto and Anderson whom he reported as expecting their first child together.

"Congratulations sa aking kapitbahay sa Congressional Village, Bahay Toro, Quezon City. Napatunayan nina Visoy (Visayan tisoy) Gerald Anderson at anak nina Dennis Padilla at Marjorie na si Julia Barreto na kapuwa hindi sila baog. After months of love lockdown and ESQ (exact sex quadrant) - may nabuo sa sinapupunan ni Julia," Sonza said.

Baretto shot down the rumor showing off her toned body on Instagram.

Her caption read: "fake news."

A day after the post went viral, Sonza has not shared any statement about the issue.

As of 11 a.m., Sept. 22, Sonza's message was inspirational - "Make your Tuesday morning beautiful and delightful. Thank God for the blessings of life. Cherish every moment of a good environment. Thank the good people around you. Release the hatred in the feelings."
