University of the Philippines coach Bo Perasol said Monday they are still finalizing the details in acquiring 6-foot-5 center Bismarck Lina from the troubled University of Santo Tomas squad.

Perasol said they still have to meet one more time to iron out the details of Lina’s transfer in the wake of the Sorsogon training bubble controversy.

“Not yet (final),” Perasol told Manila Bulletin. “We have one more final meeting. The meeting will finalize everything.”

Lina, 19, is the latest player to leave the Tigers’ lair after the team has been put into the spotlight following the decision of former UST coach Aldin Ayo to hold a training bubble in his hometown Capuy, Sorsogon despite the strict quarantine measures.

Should Lina’s transfer gets finalized, he would join former teammate CJ Cansino to the fold.

Cansino was the first to leave UST after he was reportedly removed from the squad.

Ira Bataller, Brent Paraiso and Rhenz Abando also left to join Letran, while Jun Asuncion moved to Mapua. Mark Nonoy and Deo Cuajao went to La Salle.

A former member of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth squad, Lina committed to UST last February until the training bubble controversy ripped the Tigers apart.
