#UBANLEGEND: Dawn Zulueta shows off her gray hair
Dawn is challenging herself not to avail of hair coloring while under quarantine.
Over six months in lockdown, with most of us still apprehensive to go out, a lot of women “over a certain age” have started to embrace their gray strands. One of these awesome ladies is the beautiful Dawn Zulueta who showed off how much silver white roots she has now. While some choose to buy DIY (do-it-yourself) hair coloring kits, Dawn decided that it’s okay to have gray hair.
Her first post started on April 12 where she included the hashtags #DawnsUbanLegend and @silverhairdontcare. No comments were made on her growing gray roots then.
In her May 12 post, she revealed a more visible crown of three-inch gray hair with the caption, “Well, there it is… how homeschooling can make your hair turn white, LOL. Kidding!” She even stated in the caption that she is challenging herself not to avail of hair coloring while under quarantine.
In less than two weeks, on May 25, she posted photos with her Jack Russel Terrier Scrappy. You can see a mix of black and white roots on both sides of her hair.
She took a rest from selfies but came back again on July 7 with a post-exercise photo. This time, one can see white hair surrounding her flushed-red face.
Finally, on Aug. 31, she reminds us that we should still allot time to get dressed and feel pretty even during quarantine with the hashtag #stayhomestaypretty. She took time to answer over 700 comments, sharing with her followers that “It’s my self-imposed challenge, so I’m curious to see how I’ll fair in it. #ubanrevolution let’s do this!”
