The local stock market ended the last trading day of the week lower as investors continue to lock in gains.
The PSEi shed 34.62 points or 0.58 percent to close at 5,908.90 with sectoral indices evenly mixed.
Volume rose to 767 million shares worth P7.64 billion with gainers and losers tied at 94 each as 46 were unchanged.
“Local shares closed lower as investors digested Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s dour economic outlook along with lackluster US economic data,” said Regina Capital Development Corporation Managing Director Luis Limlingan.
