SSS releases latest mobile app

State-run Social Security System (SSS) has released the latest version of its mobile app allowing borrowers to file salary loan application with mandatory bank disbursement.

In a statement, the pension fund announced the release of an updated SSS Mobile App that also re-enabled the downloading of the PDF files of Payment Reference Numbers (PRN) and Disclosure Statements of Salary Loans.

Members do not need to install the new version as it automatically updates their existing SSS Mobile App. But cases that the new version was not automatically installed, members may still update their SSS Mobile App.

Other services that may be accessed through the SSS Mobile App include the viewing of member’s information, contribution breakdown, benefit claims info, and documentary requirements in filing benefit claims and list of documentary requirement for membership.

It also allows access to SSS branch office with location map, loan status, and balance, updating of contact information, submission of maternity notification, registration to My.SSS (SSS Website), generation of PRN, and online payment option.

The SSS Mobile App, a free downloadable app for smartphone users, was launched in 2018. It is designed to provide a more convenient way for members to transact with SSS without the hassle of queuing in its branches.
