Tired of Gran Turismo Esports races? The Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) is offering something different: a digital rally.

In tune with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) campaign to #RaceAtHome, the AAP is launching its Digital Rally Trophy.
The digital rally is a four-round event that aims to pay tribute to the heyday of Philippines rallying in the early 90s. The event will be held virtually, with competitors racing against one another on the video game Dirt Rally 2.0, available on the Playstation 4 and PC.

Through the event, the AAP wishes to recreate Philippine Motorsport’s most exciting rally season, that of 1993. At this time, the series saw the entry of the Shell Mitsubishi Rally Team factory works team, hotly contested by privateer team, MP Turbo, in Group A rally cars.

To approximate that historic season, the four-legs will be held on simulated tracks which are hoped to recreate the challenging and varied tracks of the 1993 Philippine Rally season.

The event is open to everyone with a Playstation 4 or PC and a copy of the Dirt Rally 2.0 game. A steering wheel setup is not required.
Interested parties must first join the AAP Digital Rally Facebook group. Then, they may register HERE. Full rules and regulations can be found at the Facebook page. Participants will be limited to Group A rally cars available in the game. Finally, participants must qualify by joining the Racenet Club for the event, and set a qualifying time through the game. From their, the order of running will be determined on race day.
The rounds will be held on Sept. 20., Oct 4., Oct 18., and Nov 18. Participants must qualify before each round. The races will be streamed live on the Dominado E-Motorsport: Rally Facebook Page on the mentioned dates.
