DAVAO CITY - An 81-year-old man from Sta. Cruz in Davao del Sur was among the 36 patients, who recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Davao region on Thursday.
Based on the profiles of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Davao region released Friday, the man was a resident of Barangay Inawayan in Sta. Cruz. He was admitted on August 25 and was discharged on September 10.
However, the Department of Health said his history of exposure was still under investigation.
Three other elderlies recovered on Thursday. Among them was a 60-year-old woman from Leon Garcia Sr in Agdao, Davao City who was admitted on August 30; a 70-year-old woman Paciano Bangoy, also in AGdao who was admitted last August 26; and a 71-year-old man from Aplaya in Digos City who was admitted last August 27.
Meanwhile, the youngest of those who recovered was a four-year-old girl from Inawayan in Sta. Cruz. The girl had the onset of symptoms last August 21 and was admitted on August 25.
The profiles also showed that the 71st fatality in the region was a 74-year-old man from Matina Aplaya here. The patient was admitted last August 13 and died on September 9.
