Ayala Museum Virtual to host online program with Ambeth Ocampo

The sold-out lecture series goes digital, so get your tickets before it is too late

The Ayala Museum’s commitment to Philippine art and culture takes on the digital frontier with the launch of Ayala Museum Virtual. Now more accessible than ever, the Ayala Museum Virtual is set to become a hub of information and innovation with virtual programming and events that marry history and contemporary culture.

The much-anticipated virtual programming starts with Prof. Ambeth Ocampo’s History Comes Alive lecture series. The acclaimed historian has been breaking down Philippine history for a modern audience at the Ayala Museum for a decade. Now, History Comes Alive will be available online via Zoom for an audience that can be found all over the world.

This year’s lectures will take on two topics that have come to define the year 2020: pandemics and fake news. Happening at 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 and Oct. 2, respectively, the access rate for one lecture is ₱1,000, while teachers, students, seniors, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) can avail of a discounted price of ₱700.

Along with the History Comes Alive lecture series, Ayala Museum Virtual will be hosting online programs for the Rush Hour Concerts with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, and creating new programs like the Muni-Muni Stories, a podcast by the Filipinas Heritage Library on Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

While bringing interesting and informational content online can reach a greater audience around the world, it can also build walls, blocking off people right in our own country. That is why History Comes Alive, as well as the upcoming Rush Hour Concerts, is part of the Ayala Foundation’s fundraising drive to help bridge the digital divide among students. With hope, one day, every child in the Philippines can take advantage of the wealth of information online, including Ayala Museum Virtual. The Get Access, Give Access fundraiser goes to the Ayala Foundation’s Student Online Access Program, which gives students online connectivity for the school year.

For a donation of ₱2,700, an Ayala Museum Virtual pass will give you access to two History Comes Alive lectures and one Rush Hour Concert, while also giving online access to students when they need it most.

Knowledge is power, and by expanding your knowledge with Ayala Museum Virtual’s digital programs, you can even empower the youth of today.

Access for one lecture is ₱1,000, with a discounted price of ₱700 for teachers and students. A donation of ₱2,700 to the Ayala Foundation’s Student Online Access Program will get you access to two History Comes Alive lectures and one Rush Hour Concert.
