15-yr-old girl dies of COVID-19 in Davao City

DAVAO CITY - A 15-year-old girl died of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) here on Wednesday, September 9.

Based on the profiles of confirmed COVID-19 released by the Department of Health in Davao Region on Thursday, the girl, who was a resident of Barangay Daliao in Toril District here, was admitted last August 25.

The girl’s history of exposure was also currently being investigated. She was the 70^th fatality in Davao region.

A nine-month-old girl from Barangay Ilang here was also the youngest of the 24 latest confirmed cases recorded last Wednesday. The oldest was a 74-year-old woman from Centro in Agdao district here.

Meanwhile, Davao region recorded nine new cases and 36 recoveries of COVID-19 on Thursday, September 10.

The region has recorded a total of 2,356 COVID-19 cases, 353 of which were still active cases. The DOH said among the latest cases, six were from Davao City, two were from Davao de Oro and one from Davao del Sur.

The recoveries included 22 from Davao City, 12 from Davao del Sur, and two from Davao Oriental.
