Leandro Muñoz gives full support to transgender son Frankie

Now on its second season, Just In’s pilot episode had host Paolo Contis interviewing former celebrity Leandro Muñoz who is now based in Los Angeles. Paolo started by asking how Leandro is now to which he answered, “A lot of things happening right now. It’s crazy how 2020 started. Mixed emotions—pinanganak si Mason Jan. 26, 5 in the morning. One of them revealed two photos of his eldest daughter Francesca who is now a transman. Leandro recalled, “When she turned 16, he came out and ngayon, Frankie na siya. This is something I will never ever hide from the public, nor anyone should hide from the public. This is a serious matter.” "When she turned 16 years old, kinausap niya ako. Most parents would freak out and would, most likely, be lost for words. But Leandro was calm and collected, asking Frankie if this was what made him happy. “My point is, kailangan natin i-support (we need to support) what makes our children happy. Hindi na siya (He’s no longer a) closet, hindi na siya nagtago (he’s not hiding anymore). He’s now a transman. He’s very happy.” Leandro also stressed the importance of having a strong support system, reminding parents, “Kung may anak ka na (If you have a child) who wants to come out, support him 100 percent.” Paolo then asked him if Frankie was treated differently when he came out. “Meron siyang mga (He had) experiences that would probably be the reason why ayaw nya mag (he didn’t want to) come out,” said Leandro who was proud to share that Frankie now wants to be a psychiatrist. “Because of that experience, he’s taking up psychology for LGBT. He was able to go through that process because of the psychologist and his parents.” Host Paolo agreed, “Support your kids, 'yan ang pinakamagagawa mong maganda bilang magulang (this is the best thing you can do as a parent).”
