Hyundai and global superstars, BTS, have collaborated for the first time to release a new song and music video, “Ioniq: I’m On It.” The song and upcoming music video is intended to promote Hyundai’s new, dedicated electric vehicle (EV) brand, Ioniq.
The song is already available for free download HERE. The music video will premiere on Hyundai’s official worldwide YouTube channel on September 2, 2020.

The collaborative project shares Hyundai’s goal of providing eco-friendly, individualized electric mobility. Through the Ioniq brand, Hyundai aims to offer customer-centric EV experiences. The new brand will introduce three new dedicated EV models over the next four years with more innovative models to follow. These include a midsized crossoever SUV called the Ioniq 5; a sedan called the Ioniq 6; and a large SUV, the Ioniq 7.

The song’s lyrics—sung and rapped by BTS’s RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—share the many possibilities with an Ioniq vehicle. Naturally, the music video will feature Hyundai’s latest concept EV, the Prophecy. The vehicle will be officially unveiled in March 2021.
“The new Ioniq lineup is Hyundai Motor's answer to environmental problems and sustainable global communities that millennials and Gen-Z generations are concerned about, and we will show the substance through the acceleration of the EV vision for future," said Wonhong Cho, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officier at Hyundai Motor Company.
“For this special project, we have all focused on individual moments that are important to us,” explained BTS's RM during the shoot of the music video. “For me, time for inner self is extremely important, I believe we all need time for reflection to be able to grow.”

Fans who want to further celebrate Ioniq with BTS can participate in an online event for a chance to win a limited-edition cassette tape-shaped music player. The music player contains two tracks – “Ioniq: I’m On It” and individual messages from each member of the band.

Hyundai first introduced the Ioniq as a five-door fastback. The Ioniq name is a portmanteau of ‘ion’ and ‘unique’. Hyundai Philippines currently offers the Ioniq in hybrid form, priced at P1,548,000.
Korean group, BTS, have broken boundaries across music, fashion and culture with their global appeal. First formed in 2010 with seven members and debuting in 2013, the group has since gained a global following, collaborating with international artists to create chart-topping songs.
