James Reid and Nadine Lustre seem to have maintained a “close relationship” despite their breakup.

The two were spotted together again, but this time, as joined by their respective mothers.

In a Facebook post, James’ mother, Marcela Macdonald, shared she was surprised by her son and Nadine with cake and flowers in time for her birthday.

“…it was indeed a big surprise for me,” she said.

Few weeks later, James’ mother greeted Nadine’s mom, Myraquel Lustre, on her birthday.

She posted a photo of them together with the couple, calling Mrs. Lustre “balae.”

“I chose this photo coz it was our first date with James and Nadine with Chanty..so Happy, happy birthday to my Balae,” she wrote.

James and Nadine were in a relationship for four years. They announced their breakup January this year through an episode of “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”

Months after their split, they were spotted together, prompting rumors of reconciliation.

James and Nadine have yet to address the matter as of writing.
