Storage locker hunter hits Grand Slam: Kobe Bryant jerseys, memorabilia!

A storage locker hunter on Monday felt like winning the championship after purchasing an abandoned unit that turned out to be filled with Kobe Bryant's possessions and memorabilia.

The said locker was purchased in a storage auction in LA wherein bidders only got a brief glimpse of what is inside the lockers without entering it or touching the items. The buyer scored the unit for $375.

The person who scored the unit later realized that the locker contains a number of Kobe Bryant's personal items and was previously owned by Kobe's stylist Derek Roche.

TMZ Sports reported that the locker contains 35 pairs of shoes, jerseys, Lakers practice gear, a Lakers all-access badge that says, "Mamba," tax paperwork, and the piÃ¨ce de rÃ©sistance which is a mink coat that Kobe usually wears.

The buyer then contacted veteran storage hunter Rene Nezhoda, one of the stars of History Channel's "Storage Wars" to sell the unit.

Nezhoda bought the locker for a whopping $13,000.

He then clarified that the items will not be featured in "Storage Wars" as they're not filming it due to the pandemic.

The said discovery was very timely as Kobe's birthday was Sunday, August 23. Perhaps his gift from above to the very lucky buyer.
