After the viral live video release on the lover’s spat, the couple’s common friend Ralphe Laurent released a statement through his YouTube channel with the comments section turned off. He started off by sharing stories of how he helped Filipino vlogger Tim Sawyer, who was fresh from Cagayan, start his career, even sharing his room for free so Tim didn’t have to rent on his own. But when fame and money came into the picture, Ralph shared in his video that Tim had changed for the worse.

In his personal Facebook page, he also shared a post with a series of chat messages between China Roces and another person—it is not stated in the post if it was him China was talking to.
