Robin and Mariel celebrate 10th anniversary

Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez have marked a decade of being husband and wife. 


The celebrity couple talked about the milestone on their respective Instagram accounts. 


Robin and Mariel first met on the set of the Philippine noon time variety show "Wowowee" when she was a co-host, and he filled in temporarily for regular host Willie Revillame in 2009.


The two exchanged "I Do's" at the historic Taj Mahal in Agra, India in August 19, 2010.


Robin dedicated a post to his wife early in the day. He wrote, “Maraming salamat sa aking hosting coach, camerawoman, lightwoman at audiowoman @marieltpadilla ang pagtutulungan ng mag asawa sa paghahanapbuhay ay syang buhay ng pagsasama ng may kapayapaan at katahimikan. Kaawaan nawa ng Nag iisang Panginoong maylikha ang mga nagsisikap at nagsasakripisyo sa gitna ng pandemic at kahirapan in shaa Allah.”


Robin professed love for his wife in succeeding posts.

“Ipagpatawad mo minahal kita agad. Ipagpatawad mo Magmula noon hanggang ngayon na 10 taon na tayo ay patuloy pa rin kitang iniibig. Ipagpatawad mo kung hihingin ko sa Nagiisang Panginoong maylikha ang marami pang taon sa piling mo para kitay mahalin at ibigin pa,” he said seemingly referencing “Ipagpatawad Mo” by Vic Sotto.

The actor uploaded a clip taken on their wedding day, and another from their shoot for the movie "Tum: My Pledge of Love."

Mariel, for her part, wrote: “A decade with you happy anniversary @robinhoodpadilla 10years and a long road ahead. Mahal kita.”


Robin and Mariel have two daughters, Isabella and Gabriella.
