Kisses Delavin brings 'help and comfort' to Masbate just hours after 6.6 quake

Young actress Kisses Delavin visited Cataingan, Masbate on Aug. 18, few hours after a 6.6. magnitude earthquake hit the province.

Photos of the visit were posted on some netizens’ Instagram account, as well as on the account of the actress’ management company, All Access to Artists.

Kisses is seen at an evacuation center giving “help and comfort” to affected people. The actress came with her parents.

Kisses was crowned Miss Masbate and Miss Kaogma in 2016.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the quake was seven kilometers southwest of the municipality of Cataingan at around 8:03 a.m. where Intensity VII, characterized by Phivolcs as “destructive,” was felt.

Phivolcs said the tremor had a depth of 21 kilometers and was tectonic in origin caused by ground shaking primarily due to the sudden movement in the earth’s plates.
