The Philippines Football League has started making preparations for its clubs to begin training sessions with the return of General Community Quarantine regulations in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces.

PFL commissioner Coco Torre said the league is awaiting for clubs to send their preferred schedules in anticipation of the training resumption that was halted after the implementation of a stricter Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine on Mega Manila last Aug. 4.
“Clubs will be sending me their preferred training schedule by tomorrow (Wednesday) so we will know then about the schedule,” said Torre.
Torre gave no specific timetable as to when practices can start, but said that there clubs that need to start as soon as possible, namely Kaya-Iloilo.
Kaya is set to resume its group stage campaign in the AFC Cup next month at a centralized venue that is still being determined by Asia’s football governing body.
The National Training Centre of the Philippine Football Federation in Carmona, Cavite will be tapped as training ground but Torre said clubs have the option to nominate other venues pending league approval.
The PFL along with the PBA and Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 are the only leagues allowed to train in GCQ areas based on the Joint Administrative Order released by the Games and Amusements Board, Philippine Sports Commissioner and the Department of Health.
Under the order, only individuals who tested negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to train while a maximum of 10 persons are allowed per session.
