Arnell Ignacio hosts 'Sama Na, Census Na' on PTV-4

Arnell Ignacio hosts “Sama Na, Census Na," a three-part series that features and explains all about the 2020 Census of Population and Housing and the Philippine Statistics Authority, premieres today at 11 a.m. on PTV-4.

In the episode, DA Arnell will interview National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Dennis S. Mapa, Ph. D and OIC National Deputy Statistician Minerva Eloisa P. Esquivias about the government agency, including all its functions and important information about the upcoming
2020 Census of Population and Housing that starts on Sept. 1, 2020.

The former OWWA Deputy Administrator will also dissect PSA’s role in the lives of the Filipinos, most especially in data gathering and how these data help the government formulate policies and laws, as well as how the businesses use these data in order for them to analyze and strategize
how they would properly run their businesses.


The 2020 Census of Population and Housing will follow government health protocols in conducting the census enumeration, and in the episode, it will also be explained how we can all participate, not just by being interviewed by the census enumerators face-to-face, but also in other means, like the use of Self-Administered Questionnaire (SAQ), being interviewed over-
the-phone or Paper-Assisted Telephone Interview (PATI) and answering the census in PSA’s website or Computer-Assisted Web Interview (CATI), if the respondent is not comfortable in answering the questions of the enumerators in their house.

Interesting trivia and animation will spice up all the “Sama Na, Census Na” episodes. The pilot episode will also feature 2020 CPH infomercial, promoted by Sarah Geronimo; plus the Dance Video performed by the PSA Central Office and Field Office Dancers from Luzon, Visayas to Mindanao, that is now making waves.

Among the personalities who made their rendition include DJ Loonyo, who
trended on Twitter the day he posted his version of the Dance Video; comedian and now-GMA-7 talent Kiray Celis; and former Sexbomb orginal member, Jopay Paguia-Zamora together with her husband, Joshua Zamora, of the Manoeuvres fame.
