Happening now: Party with the Secretsundaze

Due to the health crisis a lot of establishments today all over the world are being forced to permanently close down. British label Secretsundaze is among those in very serious trouble. The company, however, is not about to give up just yet. In fact, it has even organized a party to raise funds and to give its survival a shot. Jive and dance for a cause? Count us in. And if you just want wonderful music tonight, join in the stream anyway for free.

Giles Smith and James Priestley play a Secretsundaze six-hour live stream from Oval Space’s sun-trapped terrace raising funds for their #SaveSecretsundaze crowdfunder. “We've never asked for help before and with so many people suffering at the moment, it was not an easy decision to come to, but if we’re to survive this period, we need our community’s support to save Secretsundaze,” the duo wrote in their crowdfunder. “What better way to round things up than with an extended b2b at a venue deeply connected to Secretsundaze, Oval Space’s gasworks backdrop a fitting setting for six-hours of records from two of London’s longest-standing selectors.”

There’s a week left to support the record label with nearly 50 releases and a community music studio, which gives affordable access to local music makers. Their crowdfunder is ending on Aug. 18.

This is the first live stream the duo will have done outside of their regular monthly NTS show since the beginning of the lockdown. 

Aside from the survival of the label, the money raised through this campaign will also help go toward securing a new studio, a learning center for Secretsundaze to formally train and mentor young people wishing to learn how to make and play electronic music.
