“This photo was taken on May 21, 2019. There was a thunderstorm for the past days and I really wanted to capture a series of lightning for the first time. Before the shoot, I studied some techniques on how to capture lightning, how to blend photos and combine multiple shots together using Photoshop on YouTube. I set up my camera (Fujifilm X-T2 + Samyang 12mm lens) and tripod at the Dencio's in Capitol Hills, Quezon City facing Pasig and Cainta at around 8 p.m. When I finally found my spot, I stayed there for an hour hoping for a good lightning show and by God's grace, it did! I took advantage of my Fujifilm X-T2 Interval Timer mode, and set it at 5-10 seconds apart with 3-5 seconds shutter speed at f/8.0. I chose 15 photos with different lightning position so that when I combined them using Photoshop there would be no overlapping.” - Raphael Evan Grabador
