ONE Championship’s Aung La N Sang has tested positive for COVID-19, the two-division champion revealed on social media Friday.

The Burmese fighter announced the news on Instagram and cited he felt COVID-19 symptoms like slight fever, congestion, body ache and fatigue for at least two days.

“Dear family and friends, I got tested for -19 on Monday and the result came back today (Thursday) and I am positive,” the 35-year-old champion wrote, accompanied with the screenshots of the results.

Aung La, who earned the “The Burmese Python” moniker, said he will undergo quarantine for the next 14 days together with his family in Florida.

“Besides that, I am blessed that my whole family is doing well. We are really in this together and we will get over this.”

Aung La, who holds a 25-10 record, knocked out Filipino-American Brandon Vera to defend his ONE light heavyweight title in Tokyo last October, making it his latest appearance in the Circle.

Last week, ONE Championship announced the return of its flagship event on July 31 after a four-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
