Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 commissioner Eric Altamirano said Thursday that movements of players will balance teams for the 2020 Season slated in September.

Although there is no lineup yet for the upcoming tournament, Altamirano revealed that almost all teams will have a different look as compared to their rosters from the previous meet.

“We will definitely see a lot of new faces while the players from our previous powerhouse teams like Pasig and Basilan will see their players move to new squads. This season will see more balance, I believe,” said Altamirano.

Altamirano discussed with team owners details of the 2020 Season after the government – through the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) – granted the league professional status.

Present during the meeting were San Juan-Go for Gold team governor Chris Conwi, Sta. Lucia sports head Buddy Encarnado; Nueva Ecija's team manager Jai Reyes and official Mike Baldos; Porac-Big Boss Cement's Ryan Monteclaro; Zamboanga-Family Brand Sardines' Tonette Roque; Mindoro's Justin Tan and Teytey Teodoro; and Sulu's Marvin Forniza.

On top of the concern of the league is the swab testing for the players, coaches and other team personnel once the league begins with the plan of having a bubble – or a regular facility for the event.

Dr. Butch Ong of UP Science and Society Program discussed the health protocols while a representative from GET Philippines tackled the contract tracing application the players, staff, and team officials will use.

“We had to be very thorough and detailed (discussion) during the meeting with the team owners since we can't leave no stone unturned especially with the pandemic still on-going,” said Altamirano.
